Woodhead’s line of Aero-Motive cables and connectors is designed to complement and extend the life of festoon systems.  Festoon cables and hoses are designed specifically for frequent motion and flexing. Proper jacket material, material thickness and copper stranding extend the life of festoon cables far beyond that of standard flat and round cables. For high abuse and extended or severe outdoor usage, neoprene-jacketed festoon cable is available on selected varieties.

Woodhead Aero-Motive offers PG-style and standard connectors for both round and flat cables. Cable glands are used to protect electrical connections at termination points and to protect festoon cable from premature failure.  Tow ropes prevent systems from being pulled by the cable or hose, which limits the stress on the cables and transmits the load to the festoon cars.
