Duff-Norton's Series 2500 is
designed with the most advanced sealing components available. The
seal is a welded-edge metal bellows design fabricated in high
performance metallurgy such as Inconel and 316 stainless steel.
The wear ring materials are tungsten carbide running against silicon
carbide to provide long life and ensure reliable performance. The
tapered roller bearings allow the joint to withstand shock and
vibration. the finned housing increases surface area and combined
with the air insulating sleeve, alleviates heat from the bearings.
