| Duff-Norton's Series
1700 and 1900 Rotary Unions®
are equipped with Teflon®
Encapsulated O-ring Seals suitable for most transfer fluids, and are
standard with nickel plating, but also available in stainless
steel. The 1700 series has been designed to be used in medium to
high pressure applications. The high pressure of Series 1700 is
obtained with the use of Single Acting Thrust Bearing, which permits
slow rotation. Certain industrial equipment is used with very high
pressure, the 1900 series has been developed for these
applications. The 1900 series is equipped with a Double Acting
Thrust Bearing and a Bronze Bushing. The bearing permits higher
pressure, while the bushing increases the guide of the shaft to allow
faster rotating speeds than series 1700.
